Hi,

My user is getting error 'Create and approve batch record' while assigning UD Code to inspection lot.

Batch rec. req. indicator is set in work scheduling view material master.

this inspection lot (04 inspection type) is created for production order.

i tried to create batch record in COEBR but it is showing ' no header record found....'

i know that it works for process order but how to get out of this as it is a production order.

user is not able to take UD.

thanks in advance.

you must either receipt a qty of the batch to create the batch record, or use MSC1n to create the header record for the batch. Than use COEBR to approve the record. Now assign the batch number to the inspection lot in QA02.

If this is an 04 learly lot, simply receive the material you made.

The inspection lot is just missing the batch number.

batch is already attached to that inspection lot.

if I go to MSC2N system is giving me same error.

I went to COEBR also but i am getting error ' no header record exsist for given data'

Its odd that the batch number is assigned.

Have you tried using MSC1n and see if it lets you create the record? I would expect it give you an error normally since the batch number has been assigned to the inspection lot already. But if MSC2n is giving you the error that no header exists, than give MSC1n a try.

Have you gone through thread

Hi Sujit,

I have gone through that note, it is applicable to 4.5 version and I am using 4.7 version.

so that will not be applicable for this issue.

Hi Fire Fighter

MSC1N is not allowed as batch is already attached to that inspection lot.

In the MSC2n or COBER screens make sure you (are the system), isn't defaulting in a value for plant on the main screen. If you are at material level, and you specify a plant that hasn't had inventory of that batch in it you can get a similar error in MSC2n.
