device type PDF1 and duplex printing

Former Member

Hi,

I have some difficutlies with printing on device type PDF1 with Adobe PDF forms. The form is designed in ALD 8.0 and duplex printing is set on Master Page set.

But when I try to print the form, it is printed as SIMPLEX. I tried to set the duplex on the printer in windows settings(I am using SAPGUI 7.20 with SAP PDF PRINT and SAPSPRINT, forntend type G in transaction SPAD), and on the printer in SPAD transaction, but without any effect?

Is it possible to produce duplex output with device type PDF1 on front-end printer? Any experiences?

Thanks a lot

Hello,

If you create your form with Designer 8.0 or higher, you can set the

duplex option in the Designer. And if the ADS version is NW 7.0 SP-13

or higher then ADS could handle this template.

In Designer 8.1 you can check File -> Form Properties -> PDF Print Options

here you can set "Duplex Flip Short edge".

Check SAP note 1009567 also.

Hi,

we usa NW 7.0 SP14, so it is ok, because for other device types the duplex output is ok. But for device type PDF1 (spool contain PDF, not PCL file) the duplex is not handled to printer.

Anybody help?

Thanks a lot.
