Version / build numbers

Why is it that my client tools version/build number has remained the same (12.1.0.882) for the past two years, despite numerous upgrades, service packs, and fix packs?

Hello,

SAP NOTE 1287906 - How to determine the version number of a BusinessObjects XI 3.x in Windows answers your question.

I presume you're looking at version information via Help >> About. This is not updated via setup.exe in SPs and FPs. You'll need to browse to the actual file (probably in C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86), right-click for Properties and click on the Version tab for the correct version number.

Best,

Thanks! I thought I had looked at file versions somewhere, but they seem OK now. I also see a productid.txt file that has the correct version. The webi rich client is correct. Seems like this would be something they could easily fix; this is not standard.
