Job hang with status TIMW

Dear all,

i m installing bw 3.1 on iseries v5r3m0. At the phase of database load, sapinst hangs at the message "CHKOBJ *LIBL STUBJOB_04 *PGM". When i checked in wrkactjob, under tmksvr i can see the users sapinst with job status TIMW. it hangs, neither it is giving any error nor it is progressing.

Can you help me.

I m sorry that i didnt note down the note number but in my keywords TIMW was included. and there were two checks. first to off your windows host pc firewall and second was to check with netstat that the port is in use with any other process or not.

But i should mention how it was solved. I found in one of the sapnotes and the problem was that the windows firewall on the host pc should be turned off.

Hi Imran,

I guess this is "solved" in the meantime.

... most likely with waiting quite a while - because such an error is well known if the SAPINST is not patched properly.
