Dear Experts,
I am new Sales forecasting and am not really sure where to begin. Currently we enter the sales forecast in an excel sheet and upload it in COPA by customer. Can anyone explain briefly how does this work or what is the flow. What transactions do we use? What are the customizing needed to be done? How does this tie up with MRP planning and Customer Credit Management?
Hi,
From a logistics view, you need to eventualy have an active demand plan (version) in demand management, since this is the input to MRP. This is also called Planned Independent Requirements or PIR. Another thing is the planning strategy used, as it is determining the requiremts type generated in this process.
To get there from COPA, you would normally go via SOP, where you have procedure to copy from COPA. Then from SOP to DM (also procedure exists).
Regards,
Mario
