Cancelation of sales order

I have a sales order with one item and quantity 10.

I have already invoiced 5 items out of 10

The customer won't get the other 5 items.

What is the best way to change the sales order? Shall I cancel the line although part of the sales order has already been invoiced?

Hi,

Another possibility is to specify in customer master in shipping tab 'max partial deliveries' then order line will be completed automatically when you pick it, even if it is not full quantity. The setting will be effective for new sales orders.

I wrote to fast - I meant putting value 1 to max number of partial deliveries.

I haven't clarified that the sales order is a service order and there is no delivery issue. Only billing after the sales order

Nevermind the Delivery...

As suggested above, either change the Quantity in Sales Order or enter Reason for Rejection.

In my personal opinion, enter Reason for Rejection is a better option, as it would be recorded for future reference.

Hope this helps...

Thanks,

Assuming the remainder have not been delivered, you can either amend the quantity to 5 or enter a reason for rejection against the line item, which will cause SAP to see it as completely delivered.
