Hello PP Angels,
I wish for a solution for this issue.
When I am creating a BOM,
while entering the line item, with a material number,
when I enter the UOM for the material, which is the alternate UOM maintained in the material master (already)
I am still getting this error message
"Unit of measure DKG not supported for material XXXXX in plant XXXX"
Wishing for a solution at the earliest.
Hi,
Once again requested you to check in Material Master under additional data tab page under UOM alternative UOM is maintained or not.
Thanks,
nandha

Hi,
If you want to maintain the Alt UOM in the BOM this has to specified as Unit of issue in the Material master.
Maintain the unit of issue in the Work scheduling view or Purchasing view and then try creating the BOM com with alt UOM.
Thanks,
nandha

Hi,
Thanks for the replies, but my issue is not yet solved.
I have checked that earlier
It works that way
But my issue is i have data ( in a different server), such that
the bom is accepting a UOM that is defined in the Alternate UOM and not maintained as the Unit of Issue.
I am trying to replicate the same thing here but when I add an alternate UOM, which is not in Unit of Issue, then error message is thrown while bom creation.
Are any configs to be checked
Awaiting more responses.
Thanks
Yes - I have solved my issue.
The solution lies in the Proportion / Product Unit Tab in the Additional Data section of the material master.
If an UOM is used here, then the UOM in the BOM line items, can be picked from Alt UOM, even though the "Unit of Issue" is blank.
This tab I think gets activated from an IMG node.
The above are the effective points.
Thanks
