Customer Stock reservation

Dear colleague,

can some body suggest me how a stock can be reserved by the customer in the inventory in SD and should not be used by another order.

Hi

IF your business process is a MTO scenario then the stock will be reserved for the customer.

If not then you have to make a transfer posting through MB1B t code and Mvt type as 412 E then enter the sales order number and line item.

In this way you can reserve the stock for that customer.

Many times, the same topic was discussed. Please search the forum. The simple and straight solution is that you create a delivery and save without doing PGI. This will block the stock for that customer. Of course, before saving the delivery, stock should be made available and in OVZG, you should have ticked "Include Delivery requirements" for your checking rule B and availability check maintained in material master.

Hello Sandeep,

If you want to reserve unrestricted stock to a particular Customer (Sales Order) follow this:

T-Code: MB1B, movement type 412, Special Stock indicator - E.

Enter basic detals like Plant, Storage Location & subsequently select the relevant Quantity Stock...

This will ensure that selected Stock is reserved for particular Sales Order & other Order cannot use it...
