problem in creating datasource

Hi,

I am finding difficulty in creating a data source. First i created a driver by selecting the classes12.jar and selected that Driver while creating the datasource.

I am using JDBC Version as 1.X(no XA Support).

I think i am making some mistake in giving these values if u have any idea please tell me in detail.

Driver Class

Database URL

User

Password

Please tell me what should be the values of above fields in detail.

The error i am getting on creating the datasource is:

Hi Pankaj,

You have to dployee the jar files in to the J2EE server.

Are you test the connection in the visual administrator in the tab DB initialization.

Thanx 4 reply when i am giving initial connection as 1 then it shows an error as: datasource can't be created and on giving initial connections as 0 it creates the datasource but i can't able to use it. when i am testing it shows : driver returning "null", cause may be due to wrong driver name or server URL.

The link which u had given describes to create driver and datasource for <b>MSSQL server</b> but i have to connect to <b>oracle.</b>

Please help me if you have any information regarding it.
