Data Federator Universe Connection

I have installed and configured DF XI3.0 FP2, with BOE XI3.1 SP2.

When I try to create a Universe the connection fails with the following error:

"DBD: [Data Federator Driver] Connection Error: Error reading IOR from '//vmw3872.wdf.sap.corp:3080'. Reason: No value was given".

Anyone seen this before, or any ideas that the issue could be?

The server name could be wrong. I have seen the same error and when we used the correct server and port number, the error was resolved. Verify your server.
