Download Manager - basket contents needs Approval

Hi,

I have just installed Netweaver EHP1 SP3 and need to update the SP's to the latest patch level SP7.

We have requested an Maintenance certificate and installed it in the new system, we do not have the new version of Solution manager yet so have had to install the certificate manually. Please can someone explain the procedure the approve the items in my download basket so that i may download the new SP's without having Solution manager.

Hi Karen,

I'd suggest that you upgrade your Solution Manager to the latest version first (SolMan 7.0) and start using it. In case of an emergency, you can create a customer message and SAP will approve your download basket for you. For further info, please chech SAP Note 1061106 and review the FAQ of the Maintenance Optimizer in SMP

You have to approve your download basket via solution manager, which version of solman you have? I think you can also approve in solman 4.0
