How to extract the Data from ECC 6.0 for importing

Could you please share the docs and experience about

1. Extraction of master data from ECC 6.0

2. What are basic setups needs to be @ ECC side.

3. What are step by step activities to connect PI with MDM and ECC

i am looking for scenario ECC 6.0 - PI 7.0 - MDM 7.1 SP 05.

Basically extraction of master Data can be done by some functional module programme and with the tansactions which are for extraction of Master data from ECC.

there are these two transaction

MDM_CLNT_EXTR - main table data extraction

MDMGX - Lookuptable/check table/reference data extraction

you can follow more details by notes 964991& 830864.
