Hi Ramu,
Please go for MS Visio 2003 or probablly other compactible versions with MDM Server as well as for

Hi Ramu,
In order to use MDM Workflow functionality you need to install the following components on the machine on which MDM Clients are installed.
1. Microsoft Visio
2. WorkflowInstall_Ver
WorkflowInstall_Ver setup will be available in the GUI Clients. Once you have installed the above mentioned components you can use the workflows which are operable from MDM Data Manager only.
Select the Workflows table from the drop down list and there you can manage your workflows.

Hi,
I have similar problem as Mr. Ramu in SRM-MDM.
We are using SRM-MDM2.0 which is based on MDM5.5 SP5.
We want to use MDM workflow.
We have installed client compoent Import manager, Data manager, Console on our desktop
Also we have installed the MS-Visio on our desktop.
We notice that workflow table is still not active in the Data manger.
May I know following:
1. Is any Worklflow client is required on desktop?
2. Any workflow plug in need to be installed on server.
3. Any workflow plug in need to be installed on desktop to integrate with MS-Visio?
4. Sequential steps of designing and running the workflow in SRM-MDM?
Your help is very much appreciated.

Hi Rama,
In Console you cnnot add a recoed in workflow table. It however stores only all workflows of 1 MDM Repository.
Workflows are created in MDM data Manager .Store Each workflow as a record in a workflow table.Workflow components are
1.Records Displays all records selected by workflow
2.Status Groups workflow tasks by status value.
3.Task Displays the workflow tasks for the selected status value.
Steps to create a workflow
1In Record mode in data manager add a new workflow by selecting add optiojn.
2 Model the workflow using workflow editor(Visio)
3 Assign resources ,Maintain values
4 Activate workflow in MDM Data Manager.
You can go to visio directly by selecting workflow row in Recoed detail tab strip of workflow.
Hope this helps

Hi Rama raju,
In General Console talks about repository structures we cant do any record manipulation. Basically it can be done at MDM DATA Manager level (in recent SPs), earlier its called CLIENT. Launch MDM Client along with the same repository, change workflow as your current table and there you can add records, assign records and launch the same.

You can find MDM workflow under Record mode.
Please feel free to revert to me for further clarifications.
