Dear Guru's,
We're facing an issue while trying to create user account in AIX.
Scripts are written in application server and using SAP External commands we're trying to excute the scripts, whenever we execute the scripts in AIX it always runs with user account of 'SIDADM'. I would like to know is it possible to configure another AIX account in SAP for a particular set of external commands alone.
We're using SM49 transaction, to configure external commands and script file location. But there is no place to mention the AIX user account there.
Expecting your positive reply.
regards,
Guna
Not as far as I know, external commands are always executed under <sdi>adm

Hi Guna,
By default it is not possible to run a command with another user than sap<sys>.
What you could try, is setting an s-bit on the program you want to execute, like on saposcol. This command is executed by sap<sys>, but runs as root.
Hope this helps!
Kind regards,
Mark
