stock posting with serial number

hi

what are the settings to be done before do stock posting with serial number ,pl tell me step by step

serial number profile and qm for roh materials has activated in material master ,after doing goods recipt inspection lot is generated haveing serial number for qty 3 ea but when iam doing stock posting as 1qty for unrestraicated ,one for blocked stock and one for return delivery.

but system thrown an eroor when iam assinging serial numbers, qExactly 1 serial numbers must be selected (instea

of 4)

For entering the serial number while doing the UD there is one typical step.

1.say out of 3 you want to post the 1 to sample ,then system gives you 3 serial number.Select the 2 serial number which you don't want to post against the sample.After making selection delete the serial number(recycle bucket ) ,remains only one serial number select it & click on OK.

2.Now comes say you want to put 1 Qty to block stock ,system is show 2 serial number.Select the one which you don't want to put into block stock & delete it.Now select the remained & click on OK

3.Third & last will be only the one which you want to put into unrestricted.Select & click Ok.

See its working..............!!!
