SAP IDES ECC 6.0 on Windows Server 2003 64bit

Hi Guys,

I want to install SAP IDES ECC 6.0 R3 on Windows Server 2003 (64bit) and Oracle. Kindly let me know the files to download from SMP for 64 bit installation.

Hi,

The requied information will be available in the Inst Guide and i u could not find the right one, here I'm listing the files.

The files are available in the following path,

Installations and Upgrades -> Entry by Application Group - SAP Application Components -> SAP ERP -> IDES Version -> Windows Server -> Oracle.

1. Installation Master (51034992_12)

2. Installation Export (51034985_1 to 51034985_23)

3. SAP Kernel (Select the required DVD based on ur platform - 51033505 )

4. Oracle DB (RDBMS) (51031678_1 to 51031678_5)

5. Oracle patch (51036971_1 to 51036971_4)

If u r going for JAVA stack u need the following DVD's too.

1. JAVA based SW comps (51033513_1 to 51033513_4)

2. JAVA comps (51033526)

Instaed of going for SR3 I prefer u to go with EhP4. I'm listing the files required for EhP4 also.

Installations and Upgrades -> Entry by Application Group - SAP Application Components -> SAP ERP -> SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE -> EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 / NW7.01 -> IDES Version -> Windows Server -> Oracle.

1. Installation Master (51037622_1 to 51037622_3)

2. Installation Export (51037623_1 to 51037623_27)

3. SAP Kernel (Select the required DVD based on ur platform - 51036767 )

4. Oracle DB (RDBMS) (51031678_1 to 51031678_5)

5. Oracle patch (51036971_1 to 51036971_4)

If u r going for JAVA stack u need the following DVD's too.

1. JAVA based SW comps (51037093_1 to 51037093_4)

2. JAVA comps (51036905_1 to 51036905_3)

Thanks for the list. Just want to clarify if the Oracle is for 64bit installation or both for 32bit and 64bit .

I hope both will be available in the same DVD. Please check the inst guide for the pre-requisite.

I suggest you go to

http://service.sap.com/instguides

browse for the software you want to install and open the document "Media List" so you'll know exactly what actual DVDs you need.

4 GB is VERY VERY few memory, don't expect the machine to be fast, you'll spend most time waiting.

What does this mean.. Is it compulsory to install the above dvds for installing SAP ECC 6.0 Actually I am installing SAP ECC 6.0 for practising thejob execution in SAP BODS by maintaining it as backed database(source). What does that mean "if your are going for java stack"

Please guide me how can i download the sap ides and orcal data base and another softwares. My laptop config is i3 proceser 3 gb ram and 320gb hdd. and Windows 7 home basic .

Please read my post before you asked that question - you'll get all information there.

A few points:

- IDES is not for "home use", you need a license as with all other SAP systems

- you need a Solution Manager system to generate installation keys

- you need a server operating system, Windows 7 home basic is not supported, not even for a SAPGUI
