Assigning one WP to User ???

Hi Guru's,

Can we Assign one particular Work Process to a Particular User ? it means when ever that user do any activity then that will be done by that particular work process which was assigned to the user.

Can any one let me know is it possible ??? if YES then HOW ??? Plz let me know the procedure.

You can use report RSTRC000 to reserve a work process.

What is the requirement for this functionality?

If you want to give a particular user a dedicated work process this would not be as beneficial as it may seem at first.

The work process methodology in SAP works to allow alot of throughput, as a work process finishes a unti of work, it is freed and the next unit of work can run on another work process that is free at the time. Also, if a work process goes down for whatever reason, the job can be done on another work process. If a user was linked to a particular work process then this would be a serious case of single point of failure and I would not recommend such a setup.
