Hi,
We are planning to implement Digital Signature in SRM 7.0. In SRM system, only one configuration for Digital Signature exists where we can activate the Digital Signature for Transaction type. But based on the discussion with DS vendor, we understood that lots of abap/java Developments to be done to integrate the Digital Signature with SRM 7.0. Can somebody explain the details/experience in Digital signature implementation.
Regards,
Prasanna
Next to the "Activate Digital Signature" node in SRM 7 IMG, there is documentation with details. It should give you a pretty good idea of what it does.

That is the only place you need to activate DS. There are really just two steps to implement it:
1) Ask basis to fulfill the "requirements" portion of DS (in the documentation I mentioned)
2) Turn on DS for desired transaction type, e.g. BID
With this, the system would route through additional logic to retrieve/present/validate the security certificate when an external document is sent. For example, the buyers would be prompted with certificate when opening a bid sent by the vendor.
