i would like to access my sap netweaver from another computer connected to

hi i am newbie to SAP, i have installed SAP netweaver 7.01 trial version in my system,

i want to connect to sap system from another computer connected in my network using sap logon , is this is possible ?

can any one tell me how this can be achieved..........

Hi

Install the sapgui on the other system in your landscape.

open logonpad

Create new connection and give the name of the Application server where you installed 7.01

Instance number and system ID and click save

you will see the system connection in logonpad. Double click on it and you will see a logon screen.

i was thinking to do the same....

but the problem with the server name, i have installed in my local pc and in the sap logon i have the given the name local host as it is in my own system...

but what should i enter in the server name.... is it would be

ip address given when i have setup the ms look back adapter. or ip address of my system....

i will try it out and come with clear picture what are all the problems...

can i install GUI in windows 7 ....?

Hi

give the IP address of your local system. Go to the other system and ping the ipaddress and see whether it reaches ur system are not.
