Query regarding SAP MDM & EP ?

Hi All,

EP being a mandatory component for SAP MDM, Is it that SAP MDM 3.00 comes along with Enterprise Portal 6.00 or Do i need to have a seperate licence for EP ?

Also if i have to implement MDM 2.0 , DO i need a seperate licence for EP5SP5 ?

Please clarify.

Klaus/All,

I have few more questions related to same topic. As XI and EP are mandatory for MDM,

1. Does XI also come bundled with MDM?

(As per my information BIW comes bundled with MDM but it is restricted version - used only for MDM; Similar to this is XI bundled with MDM?)

2. Can I installed EP on same machine on which MDM is installed? ( As MDM required WAS - Java + ABAP while EP required only WAS - Java? if Yes, how?)

Please clarify.

EP 6.0 is a mandatory compenent for MDM 3.0, however concerning the licensing it's always best to touch base with SAP representative.

MDM 2.0 theoretically can be implemented with either EP5.0 or EP 6.0, however MDM 2.0 isn't available as an unrestricted shipment version. So the only MDM version, customers can install, is MDM 3.0.
