Hello Experts,

Apart from sap MDM capabilities like consolidation, harmonisation, central, data governence - what are the other features of MDM which are unique and will make sure client implements SAP MDM !!!

Can we access MDM via internet

directly or via any GUI ??

Both the questions were asked in a sap MDM presentation for which i was not able to give a straight forward answer.

Does anyone have answers for both of my questions??

Can we access MDM via internet directly or via any GUI ??

See If you mean accessing MDM Server remotely using MDM Components( GUI components) installed on your Local machine then you can use applications like Aventail, Safertoken etc to connect to MDM Server.

So, You can access to MDM via MDM GUI Components like MDM Console, MDM Import Manager, MDM Data Manager etc.

You can also access to MDM data via EP by creating I-views.

I think accessing MDM via Internet is a indirect way because for this you need Internet (Network connection to access MDM Server remotely). I mean MDM Components access MDM server via TCP/IP connection (Transmission Control Protocol) which is one of the core protocols of the Internet Protocol Suite.
