Hi all,
I followed this tutorial
/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--step-by-step
to set up alerts,
however It seems They are not working, because in spite of there are throwing errors in PI, i am not getting any alert message.
Do you have any idea about the causes of this issue?
Regards,
Ivá
To get the alerts, you need to subscribe them. Go to RWB -> Alert Inbox -> Subscription
Now You can see the Alert Category and Classification, You need to select it and subscribe.
Make sure you have the role to do do that.

You followed Michael's blog.
Michale has another blog for XI alert troubleshooting, you might need to take a look:
XI: Alerts - Troubleshooting guide
/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--troubleshooting-guide
After you defined your alert cat, you can test it:
T-Code: SE38, Run program: RSALERTTEST Select Categary of the alert, then run,
To see Alert, go to RWB -> Alert Box
To define email association, you can run T-Code SCOT and SU01
Check your applicaiton log : SLG1

Hi Ivan,
check the table SALRT in se16, filter with your alert category and check if atleast one alert has got created from the alert category. if no alerts are created yet then check alert rule from RWB->alert configuration.
first try with a generic alert rule give * for all values, and do NOT check the option "suppress multiple alerts from this rule" this will stop creation of subsequent alerts from this rule if there is already one, not yet confirmed.
if there are alerts in SALRT table, then why you are not able to see them in your alert inbox, could be the alerts are already expired. or there is no receipients for the alert category. this can be checked in the alert category.
regards,
francis
