Dear All

I would like to setup SAP DB2 clustering.(SAP EHP4 DB2 9.5)

Do these directory store local disk or share disk:

ASCS00 --> local disk or share disk

DVEBMGS01 --> local disk or share disk

clustering NFS : /samnt/<SID>, and /usr/sap/trans

/usr/sap/<SID>--> local disk

on node1 : I installed ASCS, Database Instance, CI

on node2 : I installed DI

When I move resource from node1 to node2, I can't start ASCS and DVEBMGS01 service on node2

node2> startsap sapcluster DVEBMGS01

Checking db6 db Database

-

Database is running

touch: cannot touch `/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS01/work/dev_tp': No such file or directory

Starting Startup Agent sapstartsrv

-

Starting Startup Agent sapstartsrv

-

Instance Service on host node2 started

Starting SAP Instance ASCS00

-

Unable to change to Directory /usr/sap/<SID>/ASCS00/work

(27807) Exiting with Return-Code -102. (Change Directory failed)

Startup of Instance failed

Thanks

Dear Fausto Jahja

After reading document:

When node1 is down as node2 can't start ASCS and dialog instance . node2 can't not log on SAP.

ASCS share disk (SPOF)

database instance share disk (clustering)

Central instance (localdisk)

Dialog instance (localdisk)

Thanks

Hi,

Try to start SAP using the command startsap <virtual hostname> and paste the log here.

I think you read the installation guide then all your queries will be resolved. There is a snap for which disk need to be share or local.
