CPI in PDF

Hi

We are facing an issue in Character spacing in PDF in production system.

There are 2 PDFs generated by a smartform (by same user in time gap of 15 mins).

CPI (chars per inch) is different in 2 PDFs. When content is copied to word document, spacing appears same but in PDF one is broader than other (only spacing, font size is same). This is happening randomly for only few PDFs generated by this smartform.

So can someone give us a hint as what needs to be checked here?

Also pls let me know if any additional details are needed.

Hi Manjeera,

This can depend on the device type used in the PDF conversion. The fonts and the character width depend on the device type used.
