Hi,
I know that there are two forms of product proposals in SAP.
The first is the simple list that we can maintain and assign to a customer master record and then manually ask for it to be proposed in the order at entry time.
The other is the dynamic proposal which you can set up to run and update tables via SDPV. This is the one I need some help on.
I have done the configuration and run the job and the tables have been updated with the materials that I have created orders for.
When I create a new order I want the system to propose to me these items. How do I initiate this proposal.
Is it done automaticall by the system ?
Or do I need to ask the system to do this for me?
Got this working but the user decided that they would stick with the list and manually enter the product information.
The dynamic version was too much for them to manage

Hi
Yes it should be determined automatically. But did you do the customizing for the same.
1. You have to assign document procedure for product proposal to sales order type.
2. You have to assing the document procedure to access sequence
3. You have to activate it for the sales area.
Have these been done? Once this is done and the background job has been run system will propose items as soon as you enter the order type sales area and the customer details
Thanks
Indranil
