Hi Gurus,

Can any one explain me step by step how CBF can be configured ? Please it will be really great help.

If possible is it possible to extract the planning area data to Cubs ? is it stratforward or any changes or additional work is needed ?

CBF is a specialised functionaility that is applicable to Configurable product (Car, High tech, Machine tools, etc). As such, not aware of any site which is using it actively. Anyway, for a customer enquiry, we had made a demo.

Here are the steps for CBF -

1) Planning object structure (Select Char. based forecasting indicator - 4 std char. will automatically be added in MPOS),

2) Planning area,

3) Planning books (Only 20 key figures are allowed in planning book due to performance reason. 4 std char. automatically added to MPOS should also be added )

4) APO Product Master

5) Class and Characteristics (Class type 300 - Creat Locally in APO or CIF from ECC)

6) CBF table (Assign it characteristics that are to be used for CBF planning)

7) CBF profile (Assign planning area to it)

😎 CVCs (CVCs corresponding to variants maintained in the CBF table will be created)

Extraction of planning are data to Cube - I have not tested this, but we had finalised the design. It should be a straight extraction of data from planning area to cube (even if we have CBF characteristic value to be extracted). The challenging part is historical data to be extracted along with CBF characteristic value. If these values are not in cube, it would not be possible to load data into correct CBF Variant.
