HUM in Q Block:

Hi All,

I have a material with batch packed in a HUM. This was created manually and the packaging material seems to PAL_CHEP.

I have just analyzed for the same material and batch the handling units created with Packaging material PAL_CHEPPALLITIZER seems to have not Qulaity inspection lot generated.

Just wanted to know the significance of packaging material in sending the stocks to Quality inspection

Hi,

check inspection set up in material master (QM view) - field Controli nsLot.

You probably have:

'2' An inspection lot for each material and batch 
If you set this indicator, the system creates only one inspection lot for each material and batch. This setting is only advisable for materials with a batch management requirement. 

There is no significance of packaging material.
