Hi,
Just wondering if we can use MDM_CLNT_EXTR to extract custom IDOCs. We have customized KNA1 segment in DEBMAS and thus created a new custom Z IDOC. Is it possible to extract the customer master data in this Z IDOC format instead of DEBMAS?
Secondly, if using transaction MDM_CLNT_EXTR is not possible in this scenario, what would be the best way to extract the customer master data and send it to PI for MDM import? Mind you, MDM expects a combined IDOC DEBMDM (DEBMAS + ADRMAS)

Hi MN,
additional information about MDM_CLNT_EXTR is available in SAP Note 1035601, including a chapter about custom extraction objects.
Best regards

Hi,
Yes it is very much possible...you need to mention custom IDOC name while defining Partner profile.
now use BD10 (Material), BD 12 (For customer) or BD 14 (for vendor) to extract the data. this will extract data as mdm_clnt_extr....but one IDOC per record.
Cheers,
Rc

Hi,
Take help of technical consultant to write Z ABAP Program to extract data from ECC for customize IDOC and assign customize IDOC type under partner type (logical system) to partner Profile then define XML port and assign path to send data ECC to FTP / PI server path etc and all other technical setting.
after completion of all technical setting use Tcode BD10 select customize Message type and Logical system
