How to default sysdate in datatype

Hi,

i want to default the date to system date in the data type.I know we can do it in mapping.

Is there any way we can default the date in data type

It is not possible to instantiate a default "dynamic" value in data types (but you can specify min, max, pattern, length etc) ... The only way to do this is to add a mapping (using the currentDate built-in funciton for instance)

why dont you mapp the current date in mapping ussing the standar funtion currentDate?? why do you need to do this as default value in the Data type, it does not make sense

We are on XI 3.0, there is no mapping in this interface, it is point to point communication, so i need to default the current date in the data type.

Can we do this in the data type?

if it is point to point scenario you only monitor the message. you cannot change nothing

But is there any specific requirement for that?

Which PI version you are using right now?
