Hi,
We know that for scenarios with SOAP / RFC / WS adapters utilizing SAP Logon authorization procedure we need a user to be maintaned on all the systems that take part in Principal Propagation scenario.
Having a scenario NV JAVA (consumer) -> SAP PI IE 7.11 -> SAP ERP (provider) is it obligatory for the user passwords to be the same on all 3 systems?
Thanks.
Hi Michal, fine?
Man, check it out:
#974873 - Principal Propagation
This note has the main information you need about Principal Propagation.
And if you use a High Availability system, you may want to apply this note:
#1052984 - Process Integration 7.1 - High Availability
Hope those information solve your queries
Kind regards,

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I already had those materials and there was no answer to my question.
However I found my answer on some of the forum posts (dont remember which one:) and the answer is that as assertion tickets does not use password for authentication the passwords can be different on each system that takes part in PP scenario. The user names must be the same. In case of ERP we can map user names as described inNote 1254821 - SAML authentication for Web services in AS ABAP.
Br,
Michal
