Dear Experts,

can someone tell me how I can reorganize Backgroundjobs from GRC such as in ABAP-System?

The same question for Spool- How can I delete this information from System.

I can't find any information in the Installations documents.

Best Regards

Hi,

For management of background job spools, check SAP Note 1129441 - Monitoring Background Job Log Files for Archive or Delete.

Thanks

Hi,

Check below the note content:

Reason and Prerequisites

What is the mechanism by which background job spool files are cleaned up?

Solution

File size monitoring is a standard basis function, and based upon your

system size/configuration you should archive off and delete the spools as

they grow to keep your system running smoothly.

Initially you may have larger spools because you have not completed

remediation (removed risks from roles/users). Going forward you should not

see such large files. These jobs are created whenever you run a job in the

background for analysis.

You need to delete older spool files if they are too large or jobs ran as

trial for testing purpose. You can set up a daemon/cron job at the OS level

to monitor the file system usage and send out emails for cleanup when it is

90% full. Many customers use similar scripts for regular file system

monitoring. (Note: A cron job is an automated process that operates at

predefined time intervals.)

Access Control applications do not have a feature to delete spools as this

is a function of each individual organization and their internal policies

for data retention. Each installation has a different pace in which the

log files fill up and the archiving of these files would vary.

Please consult with your internal DBA or Netweaver Administrator to

determine if OS scripts can be written by them to automate the process of

archiving or removing these log files.

Thanks
