Monitoring event triggered job

Hi

I'm trying to find a way of monitoring a background job that is event triggered. The job should run at least once a day but as it's event driven we don't know at what time. I want to raise an alert in Solution Manager if the job has not run for 24 hours. Does anyone know a method of doing this?
