FTP from SAP to external server

Hi Techies,

I have a requirement to get data from one external server to my Apps server.

I reffered some of the blogs and docs, where they are directing to standard SAP reports - RSEPSFTP, RSFTP002, 003 etc.

Have some queries in above reports:

1) How n where can i define destination host (If i use standard SAPFTP RFC) ?

2) Any alternative program/report/FM that I can directly login into external FTP server to get data?

You can pass FTP host in selection screen. Please run to the FTP programs listed by you. You will get the idea how it works.

Alternatively, you can create FTP scripts on OS level and do file transfer at some location on OS. Then you SAP application program can pick file from these location
