BAR CODE - CODE 128A

Hi experts,

I want to ask about CODE 128A. Is it a variable width or a fix width bar code?

When I print out it is changing in width. The bar code type has a width 5 cm and 2 cm height, but on the printout it varies in width. Is it possible to FIX the width anyhow?

Hi,

The width cannot be fixed, it will increase based on howmany characters you are printing, If you are printing 10Characters the width will be small, if the character is increased the barcode width will also increase.

I found that if I have 18 characters then the width also varies depending on how many number or letters (A-Z) can be found in the string. The more letters, the more width.

Hi,

If you want to fix the barcode width and height even though the no of character is increases, then try using 2D barcodes PDF417. If you use 2D barcode a 2D scanner is necessary for Scanning.
