CTM run cancelled with error "Segmentation fault"

When trying to take CTM planning run, it get cancelled with error "Segmentation fault". How to correct this error.

Hi,

As you might be aware CTM engine is written in C+. In C+ segmentation fault occurs when a invalid value is passed to a datatype. Since CTM engine is a blackbox, there is nothing we can do. Create a OSS message in SAP Marketplace and have SAP look through the details.

We have come across a variety of scenarios where this error occurs and each time it was that the CTM's C++ code had a flaw.

Hi ,

Few checks, you might have done already:

a. Run consistency check for master data before CTM run

b. Check the CTM optimiser log for details

c. Run livecache consistency and rerun CTM run

d. Check for any struck queues and clear those and rerun CTM job
