Hi,
We are doing ABAP + Java instalacion on a cluster environment using windows 2008, ms sql 2008 and MSCS,
VIRTUALs
VCTWOP01 - DB
VCTWOP02 - Instances
ABAP SID TWO
JAVA SID TJO
the question is on MS SQL how the engine should be define.....or the instance in mssql with the cluster so it can take
both installations the one for ABAP and the one for JAVA....
should be a default instance or a named instance.....and how the instance should be named in case it is named???
VCTWOP01\TWO
VCTWOP01
Thanks,
Maria
Hello Maria,
I believe you will find the answer in the installation guides.
service.sap.com/instguides
Kind regards,

Hi,
Thanks for your fast response - This is the problem - we have gone over the guides and they are not very clear
about the detail if you create the IPs on the same range, and the one ip sharing the virtual and the group -
I did consulted two senior friends who have done it - but on 2008 with all the security and details they suggested to cotinue asking....at least to get a more solid ground. Any suggestion or comment about this I will appreciate it...
Thanks for your support in advance,
Maria
