Do I need a JMS provider to do JMS with SAP PI 7.1? The flow is like this:
SAP PI (JMS Adapter) <-> (JMS queue) <-> EDI System (can pick up JMS messages through its JMS adapter)
I think SAP PI does not come with a JMS provider/server and depends on third party ones like IBM MQSeries, Sonic etc. Is that right? So I need a third party JMS provider in the above situation right?
Hello Chitrabhanu,
As SAP delivers a fully compliant J2EE Web Application Server with the Adapter Engine, there's SAP own
JMS Provider already contained. Its quite easy to use out of the box without deploying any driver.
Peep this blog for details: /people/jochen.damzog/blog/2009/12/07/pi-and-sap-application-server-as-jms-provider
With best regards
Sebastian
