SCM7.0 Upgradation

Hi All Experts,

If you upgrade from SAP CRM 4.0 or 5.0 to SAP CRM 7.0, a technical upgrade is available, but an automatic UI (user interface) migration of customer specific (Z transactions) is not possible. SAP GUI is not supported in CRM 7.0 and the only supported user interface for business functions in SAP CRM is the WebClient user interface ( CRM WebClient UI).

If you upgrade from SAP R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.0, unlike CRM (mentioned above), SAP still supports SAP GUI for business functions in SAP ECC. There is no WebClient UI concept in ECC 6.0 , but in ECC, one may use integrated internet transaction server (ITS) . Another option is to use SAP portal or built-in netweaver components (ABAP and JAVA) to view SAP transactions from the internet browser. For new transactions, reports, forms etc, SAP recommends using webDynpro technology to get a u201Cweb feelu201D , more user friendly, and enhanced features such as interactive drilling and zooming features.

If we are going to upgrade SCM 5.0 to SCM 7.0. Will SAP GUI support in SCM7.0 to view all the SAP transactions ?

Is there any WEB Client UI is available for SCM 7.0 like CRM

Thanks & regards

Manglesh

Dear Manglesh,

While upgrading from SCm 5.0 to 7.0 you will definitely get all transactions which are supported in 5.0 version.
