Not able to print to local printer

Former Member

Good Morning Yau2019ll,

Iu2019m new to the SAP world and would like to ask a few questions. The first one is that I have an employee from another location here at my office and they are using VPN to connect to their SAP system. They are unable to print to the locally connected printer, (I think the SAP doesnu2019t recognize the printer). A couple text boxes pop up requesting information for the printer; Iu2019m not sure what to put in the printer name so that the SAP will print to the locally connected printer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Terrie L.

you can configure printer in SPAD for local printing,

use tcode -> spad --> output devices --> display --> Change --> create --> provide printer name.

Devicde type: SAPWIN

access method --> F: Printing on frontend computer

Host printer --> __DEFAULT

Save

As I said, Im new to SAP, I have no idea what a "tcode" is. I have screen prints of the printer name request, I get two text boxes, one says print screen list and what I look for the printer I get print a Print Parameters, output device. I have a screen print of these, how do I log them so that you can take a look at them?
