Mapping

In a mapping a source element is concatenated with another source element to form a target field. During testing, it is found that there are 2 occurrences of the first field and 4 occurrences of the second field in the source structure. What are the no:of occurrences of the target field?

(4*2) = 8. It is the product of both the source elements

6. It is the sum of the source elements.

4. The maximum occurrences among the two source elements is considered.

2. The minimum occurrences among the two source elements is considered.

Hi Priyaranjan,

As per my understanding, you have to map two different fields from the source and need to send to target. One of the source field appears twice and other one for 4 times. Now, you would like to know the no. of occurances of the target field. Right?

It all depends upon the occurance of the source fields and the data.

Thanks,

Hi,

answer is: it depend of your functional need. So to know what you have to do, you have to have a functional rule !

Ask to your functional / business team.

After that, you will be able to do the necessary in PI to respect this one.
