Hi All,

I have question. When the shopping cart is ordering a fix asset, the SAP asset number is automaticly created with asset class.

I want to know the relationship between product category and the fixed asset class for the automatic created assets ordered.

Hi,

The default asset class for a Prodcut category (MAt group) is maintained in the back end, lokk at the table V_T023_A in sm30 in your back end R/3.

SPRO Path in R/3 -

Materials Management -> Purchasing->Account Assignment->Assign Default Values for Asset Class

The Asset class Attribute and value is assigned to the user in the EBP org structure.

During cart creation the system fetches the default Asset calss from Back End by making an RFC call and verifies if the user is authorized to use that asset class by checking the attribute in org strcture, then again an RFC creates the Asset Mster in the Back end and brings it to EBP.
