Hi
i have six fields in a table in a database and am using pi 7.1.
name
age
address
flag
changedby
changeddate
1) how is the sender jdbc strucutre defined?
2) how to give query to select name ,age and address where flag = a and after picking the records change the flag to B.
and also update values in changedby column = PI and changeddate columns.=sysdate
3) where to give this query? mapping or comm channel?
Please suggest.
Thanks
1) how is the sender jdbc strucutre defined?
Create one Data Type structure for Sender JDBC like below
row -->
name
age
address
flag
changedby
changeddate
2) how to give query to select name ,age and address where flag = a and after picking the records change the flag to B.
and also update values in changedby column = PI and changeddate columns.=sysdate
Select name, age, address from <TableName> where flag = a
Update <TableNam> Set flag = b where flag = a
3) where to give this query? mapping or comm channel?
Both Select & update queries will be given in Communication Channel (JDBC Sender). Also you will pass Document Name in Communication Channel. Give the name of Sender Message type in this field.
All field names are case sensitive, please check the same in JDBC Database also, while creating Data Type in SAP PI.

Hi,
1.Create the Data type according to the structure.
2. Check the below link for JDBC Sender Communication channel configuration and also regarding the Query statements
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm40/helpdata/en/7e/5df96381ec72468a00815dd80f8b63/content.htm
IN Query SQL statement use: Select name, age, address from <TableName> where flag = a
In Update SQL statement use: Update <TableNam> Set flag = b where flag = a
3. You need to write the query in the Communication chanel.
