INFORMATION NEEDED: Your experience with Batch Job dependencies between SAP Systems (SCM, BW and ECC)

DETAIL: Our client is seeking some advice from SAP Team, someone who has implemented SCM, BW and ECC batch job dependency. We would like to get some recommendation for third party software, comparison between third party software and if there are any custom alternatives.

Here are our questions:

1. We would like to get some recommendation about 3rd party software. We already looked at redwood.

2. Alternatives to maintain job dependency between systems without 3rd party software

3. Any experience using Process Chains for executing batch jobs running across ECC, SCM-APO and BW systems

4. If we used any custom program for any of our client.

1. We would like to get some recommendation about 3rd party software. We already looked at redwood.

- You have many 3rd party software like UC4, TWS, Autosys client can evalutae and use depending on the cost.

2. Alternatives to maintain job dependency between systems without 3rd party software

- we can do it, we can use event in between system but this will be syncronous and smal risk of loosing event if the target system is not available

3. Any experience using Process Chains for executing batch jobs running across ECC, SCM-APO and BW systems

- We can use RSPC and Prasanna has already provided the link.

4. If we used any custom program for any of our client.

we can use custom program using IDOCS or events.

Thanks,

Venkat.

Dear Miral, 1. We would like to get some recommendation about 3rd party software. We already looked at redwood.

Adding to Autosys UC4 and TWS you can also try Solution Manager's JSM - job scheduling management

inside that you have 3 options to select one option is intergrated with redwood.

hope it hepls.
