Hi all,

Have you checked which font are you using in the smartform and sapscript?

As mentioned in the note 940205,font ANDALE_J, ANDALE_K, ANDALE_S or ANDALE_T
should be used here.

Thanks&Regards

Hi Nil,

The basis guy has applied the given note but the arabic characters are jumbled up and the characters are cuming one upon another.Do we need to create the device type or character set format for the PDF Output Conversion.I am using the Zarswin Device type. I have install the latest version of adobe reader and the extended font support pack but it is not working.

Thanks

Hi Mustafa,

You can try this, it might help.

Use the device type ARSWIN for printing arabic output. Goto Tcode SPAD and then create a new output type and assign the device type ARSWIN.

A bit more background please:

Are you logged on in in SAP in Arabic? Is Arabic installed in your SAP system?

Is your PC set to Arabic language? It could be installed as additional language in control panel.

Are you 100% sure that the Smartform output is readable in Arabic? Silly question - but if you can't read Arabic, the wrong "Arabic" output might look correct, but it's been scrambled and flipped by Left-to-right conversions if logged on in EN.

Do you have English as part of your output? Which program are you using for this conversion : RSTXPDF4?

I was part of an implementation in Jeddah and we also had endless issues with Arabic printing. Our main logon language was English, but the client also wanted Arabic as part of form output. Myworkaround included logging on with language AR and then continue developing the SMARTFORMS with logon language EN(crucial). I might be able to assist a bit more with more background. Ciao
