Functional Area Master Data in ECC - how do you do a mass update?

Hi,

We have a problem with our master data in BI (Functional Area). We have additional functional areas that need to be added, as well as some fund centers and a couple funds. We can add the new fund centers and funds manually.

Since the BI data comes from ECC, we need to know how to do a mass update of functional area master data in ECC. How is this done? I know you can display, edit, or add a new functional area using FM_FUNCTION. But we have almost 2000 functional areas that need to be updated in ECC, then ultimately transferred to BI master data.

Hi Kevin,

If I understand correctly, you want to update 2000 Master Data records on ECC, don't you? If so, my choice would be to performe this change through LSMW, you should be able to change funcional areas (Cost Centers?). However you should be aware of this may have an impact on FI side, which I'm not aware off.

Not sure if that was really helpfull...
