Hi
I have read note [1339724|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1339724] and have one question:
What patch set is required to obtain free Oracle 10.2 Extended Support?
Our customer has Oracle 10.2.0.2. Do we need to patch to Oracle 10.2.0.4 now in order to receive the free Oracle ES from 31.07.2010 to 31.07.2011?
Or can we continue to operate with Oracle 10.2.0.2 and receive free Oracle ES, and then patch to Oracle 10.2.0.5 before May 2011?
Thanks and regards
Graham

Yes, you can stay on 10.2.0.2 and get the free extended support.
As of 01.08.2011 you have to a) use 10.0.2.5 and b) PAY to still get support for 10.2.
So instead of thinking "How long can I defer the installation of 10.2.0.5?" you should consider to install the current version of Oracle database.
BTW: even right now, when you hit an error with your 10.2.0.2 database, support is likely going to ask you to install 10.2.0.4 and the SAP Bundle Patches as there had been so many bugs fixed since 10.2.0.2.
regards,
Lars
