Process Gets Hang

Dear All,

We have ECC6 on OS Win 2003 32 bit with oracle 10.2.0.2.0

Recently we faced issue like all dialog process getting hang .DEV_W0 log is as

Hi,

As you are on 32bit architecture this smacks of memory issues.

you could reboot to fix it short term. But have you considered going to 64bit and increase the memory.

Dear All ,

Thanks for your reply .

After rebooting server Dispatcher goes down continuously.We then upgrade Kernal from 201 to 236 .

After upgrading Kernal system come up.

Our management taken decision to upgrade the system from 32 bit to 64 bit.

maybe you problem might be caused by:

Hi,

Do you have early watch report configured for this system,what are the recommandations in that report regarding your Database parameters,just go according to that report to fix the problems

Hello,

ECC6 not really recommended on 32 bit Windows

Make sure you have /3Gb and /pae switches enabled in boot.ini file on c drive.

- Please reduce parameters rdisp/ROLL_SHM,

rdisp/PG_SHM, to 6000 and parameter abap/buffersize to 350000 to get

more memory available to run the programme/transaction.

Hi

Have you got any plans for updating your database version.

While your WP ar ehanging what is your OS performance. Did you raised message with SAP

What is your hardware configuration. Is it 32 or 64 bit as asked previously.

Please suggest.
