Batch Classification updation for-LOBM_HSDAT

Dear Experts,

We have previously created a class in CL02 & assigned to certain materials. In this class a new characteristic- LOBM_HSDAT(Date when Batch Was Produced) is added. Before adding this characteristic in class, certain batches are produced for these materials which contain dates for "Date of manufacture" (which is visible in MSC3N-Basic data1 tab). currenty if I see for previous batches the LOBM_HSDAT is blank in classification view.

Can it be transferd to newly added charactristic-LOBM_HSDAT now?

It should update automatically when you enter MSC2n and enter the characteristics screen. Then just save. It won't update until you save. I believe that will work.

To correct old batches, you'll have to run a BDC session to run through the batches.
