I have created a client on SM7.0 using SAP_ALL.
I want to make it a BI client because I need to use this client for SMD.
Could you help give some details or some blogs about how to do it?

Hi,
Login to the new client and proceed as follows.
Goto the tcode SE37
Execute the Functional Module RS_MANDT_UNIQUE_SET
Enter the new client in the input field and then press F8.
Now ur new client will become the BI client.

On this SM, client 200 is used for CHARM production. May I convert this client 200 to a BI client so that SMD can be configured?
In other words, can CHARM and SMD share the same SM client? If NOT, I have to create another client on SM.

Yes you can change this , there is no issue, But generally we will use client 001 as BI client in solution manager for all reporting purpose.
