Number Assign to Document Type in Archivelink ---- Document ID

Dear Experts

In DMS there is Number Range assignment for Document Type so when User Create DIR there is a Unique number for DIR..

Same as in ArchiveLink

I have Configured ArchiveLink for SES

Now the problem comes here

in T-Code ML81N for SES (Service entery sheet)

All the configuration settings was perfect and document is upload in content server as per the config without any kind of Error.

But in T-Code OAAD I go for Technical Search for Document (vice-versa direct find attachment list from ML82)

now in OAAD

i Can search document as per the Document Type , Bussiness Object Etc

when Document Attached in SES and saved it to Content Server at that time there is Document ID Generated (auto generated by content server)

that Document ID is long enought like "4C982A412FAF3DCEE10000000A021068"

i want to assing Number range to Document ID like 0000001SES

I have gone through OANR ArchiveLink No. range but how to assign it to Document Type

is there any way to assing numbering for Document Type in ArchiveLink like in DMS document type

i have gone through so many thread but not finding excat solution

Dear Tushar,

The no given after storing document using SAP Archive link is system generated. This no you cannot define as you define in SAP DMS.

You attach document to Transactions itself. SO transaction ID itself is identity of the document attached.

Hope this solves your query.

my query is now stronger then the past becoz

is HR-Employee photo their is ArchiveLink concept is used

so there is a number range assing..but how to assign it with HR document type "HRICOLFOTO"

so may i assign Number range to my SES (service Entery Sheet) Document type "MSIENTRY"

There is no way to assign a number like you can with DMS. This is a unique ID used for content server retrieval, not a document number

But i have little bit of confusion.

Archivelink is used where standard SAP-DMS link is not available

For example

In HR module there is lots of document like EMPHOTO and many other.

in below mentioned link EMPPHOTO config details are given
